Privacy Policy

• Account: your email address and password. Your password is handled by our authentication provider and is never visible to us in readable form.
• Profile: your name, the location you enter, how far you'll travel, whether you offer teaching, the styles, ages, levels, and days you teach, your rates, any choreography video links, and whether you're willing to have a background check.
• Map coordinates: we turn the location you type into coordinates so we can work out distances between members.
• Bookings: who booked whom, the class type, date, time, the notes you write, the agreed rate, and the booking's status, including any cancellation and who canceled.
• Ratings and reviews you give and receive.
• Payments: if booking fees are switched on, your card is entered directly with Stripe. We never see or store your full card number — we keep only Stripe's reference IDs for your card and whether the fee was charged or refunded.
• Technical data: a sign-in cookie that keeps you logged in, and standard server logs from our hosting.

• To run CueStep: create your account, show your profile, match you with nearby teachers, and manage requests and bookings.
• To email you about your bookings, such as reminders to rate a class.
• To charge and refund booking fees, when they apply.
• To show ratings and a cancellation record so members can decide whom to book.
• To keep CueStep secure and enforce our Terms of Use.

• Other signed-in members can see your profile: name, the location text you entered, how far you're willing to travel, rates, styles, videos, ratings you've received, and your cancellation record. When someone searches, they also see roughly how far away you are.
• Booking details (date, time, notes, rate, status) are visible only to you and the other person in that booking.
• CueStep is invite-only, so your profile isn't open to the public or search engines.

We use a small number of services to run CueStep, and they only get what they need to do their job:

• Supabase — our database and sign-in system.
• Vercel — hosts the app.
• Stripe — handles card details and booking-fee payments.
• Resend — sends our emails.
• OpenStreetMap (Nominatim) — the location text you enter is sent to it to look up coordinates.
• YouTube and Vimeo — when someone views a profile with an embedded video, their browser loads the player from those services, which may collect data under their own policies.

We don't sell your personal information, and we don't run advertising or analytics trackers. We may disclose information if the law requires it or to protect someone's safety.

CueStep uses only the cookies it needs to keep you signed in. The embedded video players from YouTube and Vimeo may set their own.

We keep your information while your account is active. Booking and rating records may be kept after that where needed so other members' history stays accurate. You can ask us to delete your account and personal information at any time.

• You can edit or remove your profile details at any time from My profile.
• You can ask to see, correct, or delete the information we hold about you.
• Booking reminder emails are part of how CueStep works; if you'd like them turned off, ask us.

CueStep accounts are for adults 18 and over. Parents and guardians may book classes for their children and describe the class in a request, but children don't create accounts, and we don't knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18. If you think we have, tell us and we'll remove it.

We use reasonable measures to protect your information, including encrypted connections and access controls. No system is perfectly secure, so we can't guarantee absolute security.

We may update this policy as CueStep changes. When we make a significant change we'll let you know.
